Volkswagen created the event at the Geneva Motor Show by unveiling the Scirocco, a small 2 +2 coupe with a sporty, to be produced until the early 90s. 34 years later, the Ingolstadt company returned to Switzerland with a brand new Scirocco in its boxes.
For nearly a year and a half that Volkswagen has announced the return of the Scirocco. Appeared initially as a concept, the Iroc, at the Paris Motor Show 2006, the sports coupe is now evident in its final form.

First observation

First observation, the Scirocco remains fairly faithful to the concept Iroc. Certainly, the standard version has neglected certain stylistic features of the concept, particularly at the grille, but the spirit endures and the Scirocco sports seduces the first glance.
However, the atmosphere is much less to the party inside. The Scirocco uses the dashboard of the Golf, not exactly known for its originality.

Cousin of the Golf, the Scirocco takes in its chassis, running gear but also its mechanical components. The range of petrol engines “TSI” begins with the little 1.4-liter 122-hp and the 1.8 liter 160-hp 2.0-liter and finally the 200 hp of the Golf GTI. As for diesel, since diesel ago, the range is powered by the 2.0 TDI 140 bhp in its configuration.

The 2008 vintage will commericialisé Scirocco in Europe in the late summer.

Its dimensions are close to those of a Volvo C30, contribute to the dynamism and balance the silhouette.
