Volkswagen Polo
Yes I had two Volkswagen Polo. A 2001 model year acquired in April 2004 and sold in 2005. And the other 2005 models sold in 2006 to change course more cons.
I was pleased with my Polo, they were my best friends. The first was a 65 hp 1.2-liter Wembley 4-door. I was delighted.
The second model year 2005, it was a more comfortable 1.2-liter 65 hp
(I was the first to have it in Marseille as it was the model show!).
The Polo is how to tell a car which can not happen. It small but spacious inside, it is fun to drive. Its gasoline engine is silent, weakfish at times even at low speeds.
It is a perfect city, she pulls into a pocket handkerchief, you feel safe with her. In addition, the second being a Comfort finish, its velvet seats and leather wheel steering was a pure pleasure.
And yes it is a car for us women. It also allows travel professionals and private, it will tack it in traffic like a queen and it takes up no space in the garage which allows Jules to his bike too! (Same as when I took her in secret but shhh).
But I have to concede some flaws. In urban she uses a lot (and yes there are only three cylinders on these machines the cylinder and months ago beh more we consume), and extra-urban she drinks not bad either.
But that is another thing innérent the car is the price revision for bout’de sprouts its kind. 195 Euro for the annual review (which I suggest you make Volkswagen the first year of warranty) is a bit heavy in the budget. but it is a good German and is known as the service of this country there is not given.
But this is nothing compared to the pleasure of driving.
As a reminder, here is a brief history of the VW Polo:
The Polo I, released in 1975 and derived from the Audi 50 exit a few months earlier, is a small 3-door city that fills the range in the VW Golf. This will be derived a three-box version 2 doors, called “Derby”.
Polo II (Type 86C) appeared in 1981 as a small 3-door wagon, original at the time. it will be soon joined by a “cut” 3 doors, which in fact reproduces the silhouette of the first generation, and again a derivative of tri-body called Polo Classic or Derby following the markets.
This Polo will be a “face lift” fairly substantial late 1990 (2F-type) and three-body version disappears. This is the version that goes the box office, thanks in part to an advertising campaign makes sense. The “Ant” and will make himself known to the French public.
Polo III (type 6N) is presented at the Paris Motor Show in Paris in October 1994 for the first time with a 5-door version in addition to the 3 doors. By cons, there will be no cut on that generation. This third generation will experience a great success in France, Belgium and we still believe a lot on the road today (I ride this in a 6N, 1995 ).
A derivative 4-door three-box was released in 1996, but it is actually a Seat Cordoba touched up in Polo it is called Flight Polo Polo Classic at home and in other markets.
A wagon version also happens, but again, it touched up a Seat Cordoba Vario.
Note that the Caddy II shows the cell before the 4-door and station wagon versions.
This Polo III will know also facelift end 1999 (6N2 type), including interior.
Polo IV (type 9N) is presented at the IAA in Frankfurt in autumn 2001, with the return of optical circular that equipped the first 2 generations. This version 3 and 5-door is not as successful as its predecessor.
The customer had apparently not appreciated the round headlight, they are suppressed at the 2005 restyling (type 9N3).
And so the adventure should be continued with the arrival of the Polo V in 2009. It is time for me to replace my 6N (soon 280 000 km).
Polo R
After the GTI version, the Golf was entitled to a recent variant even sportier, R. It was thought that his little sister went Polo reproduce the same pattern, but it appears that Volkswagen has finally renounce develop a version Polo R.
On paper, the Polo R should remain a close cousin of the Audi A1 Quattro Sport version, it probably will be called S1. The problem for Volkswagen is located in the placement of this new model: what to do with a Polo R given the price differential between a low enough Polo GTI and a Golf GTI?
With this in mind, the German carmaker would have given up developing a Polo R and even to consider the possible recovery of transmission for Quattro models in the Polo (CrossPolo example).
In short, the Audi S1 should be the only ultra-sporty B-segment in the Volkswagen group.
The historic moment
Volkswagen is currently in full operation “The historic moment” and thus have 7 awards “historical” on 7 models in their range. In the Polo , a major effort is made to encourage sales of Trendline, or the low end.
The German brand is so beneficial to its customers in 1600 euro discount on this finish (against 1 000 € on the other … good to know anyway). At the same time, sales will triple the amount you of scrapping if you offer a vehicle recovery in aged 8 to 10 years.Totaling more than € 3 100 , which is version 1.2 60 hp. 3 doors € 8,990 against € 12 090 base price catalog. This represents a discount of up to – 25.6% . On version 1.6 TDI DPF DSG7, posted € 16 790, this represents only – 18.4%.
These percentages, you will understand, are only valid if you take a car from 8 to 10 years. The downside is that this type of car, especially diesel, is fairly easily sells around 3 000 € (yes, even a city). See for yourself so if the takeover offer may interest you (large only if the vehicle is inoperable, too kilometer or defaced, except a resale by itself is required). Without recovery, the discount is between – 13.2% for the least expensive of Trendline, and – 9.5% more expensive . We will say that’s not bad for a star city of the moment, which is selling very well without promotion.
The notice: Discount interesting model for a star of the moment. The takeover bid at 1 500 € has the merit to exist but will only interest if the vehicle is worth less than that, which is rare. If you subscribe to them by interest, the discount becomes very interesting.
